9 counties, reaching out to 10,000 residents who call 106 different facilities their home. These are vibrant individuals with stories, dreams, and needs that deserve to be met with dignity and respect.
Each week, we respond to an average of 20-35 calls from residents or their families, seeking assistance with concerns about their care.
As a modest non-profit with just a few dedicated staff, we lean heavily on the kindness of friends like you.
We receive less than 30% of our budget from federal funding and even that is in danger of being cut to zero.
Your support allows us to be there for more people, train more volunteers, and host essential events that affirm our residents’ rights and quality of life. Under the Federal Older Americans Act, we step up to advocate for those in long-term care, ensuring they aren’t alone.
We provide free and confidential services to resolve issues, from medication distribution errors to ensuring warm meals and proper care. It’s about so much more than solving problems; it’s about ensuring every resident feels valued and heard.
In addition to advocacy, we bring joy and comfort through our initiatives like our Annual Pajama Drive and by delivering thoughtful kits filled with essentials and entertainment. Our Summer Symposium also stands as a beacon of learning and sharing among industry professionals.

We all know someone who has lived, is living, or will live in a Long-Term Care Facility.
As our senior population continues to grow, so does their vulnerability. Many older adults in care facilities lack the support of family or advocates to stand up for their rights, and many are unaware of their rights.
That’s where WE come in - and where YOUR partnership matters.
Most don’t know that we are not fully government funded, and with recent cuts to the federal budget in sectors that protect our seniors, and allow programs such as ours to operate, we must rely even more on community partnerships to ensure that we can continue to provide much needed services in our area.
