Annual fundraiser to support, recognize local long-term care residents’ rights advocacy efforts

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — For the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program of Northeast Indiana (LTCOP), there’s only two ways to spend the month of October: advocating and fundraising.

October marks Residents’ Rights Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness, promoting rights education and encouraging community involvement. To celebrate, LTCOP hosts an annual fundraiser.

This year’s Stand With Me: Residents’ Rights Month Fundraiser recognizes the important work of standing with residents in long-term care.

The event includes food, drinks, auction items, raffle prizes and live music. LTCOP will recognize the ‘good’ work advocacy does for residents in Northeast Indiana during the fundraiser on Oct. 23 at 5:30 p.m. in the Suite Level Lounge at Parkview Field.

Individual tickets are on sale now for $30 or $50 for two.

Sponsors for the event include George’s Pharmacy & Medical Equipment, Don Ayres Honda, Nugen Law, Aging & In-Home Services of Northeast Indiana, Allen County TRIAD, Better Business Bureau and the Foellinger Foundation.
