Community Invited to Donate Comfort During Annual Pajama Drive

Doing The Good, an entity of the Long Term Care Ombudsman Program, is inviting the community to help spread comfort and dignity through its Annual Pajama Drive, collecting new pajamas and lounge-wear items for adults in long-term care facilities.

The drive promotes a community-wide effort that goes beyond just physical comfort, it’s about prioritizing the well-being of residents in Northeast Indiana. Committed to advocating for residents’ rights to a life of dignity and respectful care, the program is proud to coordinate and host the drive each year.

Donated items will be collected from March 18th to April 30th. Donations should meet the following guidelines:

  • New with tags

  • For men and women

  • Acceptable items include:

    • Pajamas

    • Sweatpants

    • Sweatshirts

    • Nightgowns

    • Other lounge-wear items

  • Items do not need to be an official pajama set, but tops and bottoms are appreciated when possible

  • Larger sizes are needed most (3X–6X), though all sizes are welcome

Donations may be dropped off at participating locations throughout Northeast Indiana, including:

  • Optimum Performance Sports

  • Turnstone

  • The Shady Nook Inn (LaGrange)

  • Lehman YMCA

  • Heritage Club

  • Noble County Council on Aging

  • Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation Community Center

  • Wells County Council on Aging (Bluffton Senior Citizens Center)

Community support plays a vital role in making the Pajama Drive successful. Every donation helps provide comfort and warmth while reminding recipients that they are valued and cared for.
